Call for Papers
The DSpace User Group Meeting 2007 will bring together the international community of DSpace users and developers to share experiences, report progress, and discuss possibilities for the DSpace platform and federation of adopters. The Conference scientific committee invites the submission of presentations and posters in all areas relevant to the use of Dspace (both technical and administrative). We would encourage submissions from
those who have mature installations, and can share their experience of what works both with the technology and with persuading content-owners to deposit;
those with innovative applications of Dspace, perhaps for content other than research outputs;
those for whom their Dspace repositories are an important element in digital object preservation.

The electronic version of the presentations will be available from the conference website. All authors will also be free to self-archive their presentations immediately for Open Access in their own IRs.
Information for proposers
The Program Committee of the DSUG 2007, Rome Meeting is pleased to invite you to submit proposals for presentations at this Meeting. Authors may submit abstracts for one of the following presentation formats:
Workshop or tutorial
Abstracts should be of approximately 500 words and should be submitted by 15 June 2007 by email to: mailto:email@example.com All presentations should be delivered in English. Please supply a brief autobiographical note (approx. 75 words) Poster should be max. 70 x 100, preferably vertical.
Presentations will take place in the main conference hall, and should be approximately 25 minutes in length, followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
Posters will be presented during coffee breaks, and will be available in the conference venue for the duration of the event. There will be an allocated time for presenters to stand by their poster for discussion.
Workshops and tutorials will be provided on both technical and administrative aspects of DSpace, and abstracts for these should include the topic and a guide to how the session should be run. If the workshop or tutorial is to be interactive we can offer assistance in organising and running it.
Abstracts will be reviewed and evaluated by the Program Committee. Confirmation of acceptance or rejection will be provided by 1st July 2007.
