Abstract
JISC is currently funding a trial of alternative business models for journal acquisition. Glasgow University Library is participating in one such trial - PPV converting to subscription - alongside Liverpool University Library, with Oxford University Press. This presentation reports some preliminary findings from the trial, together with some comments on existing models such as the 'big deal'.
